I know I know, Iäve been neglecting it and you, my loyal readers. Alas, it is punishment from the hateful toshiba power cord gods. i offered up a young lamb to no avail, so i just apologize.
So since last time:
Megan arrived and departed Munich. What a little trooper! It was amazing to have her here and the time went so quickly. We did a bike tour, some drinking and loved the food. What good friends I have.
I hiked the alps on saturday with Dr. and another lawyer from the firm (who, it turns out, is his girlfriend, maybe wife!) It was certainly in the top 5 most amazing days of my life.
I baked in the sun in the English Gardens yesterday, enjoying the sights and sounds of hundreds of other people doing the same. It was about 22-25, hot and sunny blue sky without a cloud and lovely littel breeze.
I’ll post some pictures with captions.
Megan dranka litre of beer and then was sideways! ok ok, really i just didnät flip it 90 degrees.
i soaked in this view to use as ‘my quiet place’ when necessary…
My computer took its last breath. It seems to be the connection where the power cord plugs into the lappy. bummer.I did a group tour on Saturday of Neuschwanstien - the disneyland castle. it was amazing, both the tour, the castle and the group of people I met. Including (or especailly) a girl from Australia - Meryl - who si travlling Europe, also alone and also a recent law school grad. Yesterday (Sunday) I met Meryl and did a free bike tour. The tour guide was good, but made 3 mistakes in his german history. I didnät correct him, but I know Iäm right. :)Before I went to the bike tour I went to the train station to buy the ticket that i will need to go get megan and bring her back on Wednesday, Iäm getting very excited for her arrival! After the bike tour (0.5L) we met some of the others and went to the hofbrauhuas for a beer (1L) then to one of the biggest beer gardens in EUrope for another (1L), there we met up with the others from the saturday tour. After that we went to the HArd Rock cafe - Iäve never been, pretty neat (1L). Daily total (about 12 hours) = 3.5L. Clearly Iäm ready to graduate law school.Dr. finally brought the curtains, i guess there was some problem havuing them hemmed. I will put those up tonight and mostly just read and go to bed. this time in two weeks and Iäll be home! Enjoy the photos!
Maryäs Bridge - i didnät make it out very far… high, high ekkk…
Ah! me in front of the castle - and why it pays to make new friends!
